FP231W

The FP231W is BenQ's new 23 inch LCD monitor and comes with a standard web camera and speaker module. It has a super slim metal bezel of 16mm a video solution with S-video and composite connectors. The FP231W is also equipped with 3 USB 2.0 hub. The viewing angle is 176/176 for both horizontal and vertical viewing, and with a response time of 16ms, the FP231W, has the ultimate specifications in 23� wide LCD monitor.

Rotate Screen

For a normal 4:3 or 5:4 screens, it?s more suitable to view a document with ?Portrait mode? than ?Landscape mode?. With the ?Landscape mode?, the FP231W can display two pages of A1 on the screen at the same time, which makes the document much easier to read and edit for user.

Highly integrated multimedia hub
USB 2.0 Hub

Equipped with 4 ports USB2.0 hub (one port is reserved for Web camera), the FP231W is the central hub of all USB I/F peripheral devices. With easy-to-be-reached (2 ports on left hand side of monitor) USB plugs, user can link devices conveniently.

Web Camera

The 300K-pixel web camera with USB I/F will meet the requirements of Instant Message applications like MS Messenger. With wider viewing area (diagonal 55 degrees) and powerful focus ability (2cm~infinity) the performance is better than other USB web camera (viewing area is diagonal 50~52 degrees, focus is 20cm~infinity) in market.

Speaker Module

The FP231W comes with speakers as standard. This speaker is a 4Wx2 and has a SRS sound effect chip. SRS is a well-known audio solution in TV application devices like CRT TV, PDP and new LCD TV. The FP231W adopts this audio solution to enhance the audio performance to the higher level of consumer electronics rather than IT devices only. With SRS solution, FP231W may enlarge the horizontal scale of the sound sources, not all blocked in a mess and sounds like surrounding effects. With the earphone jack located on the left hand side of speaker module, user may use earphone for special applications or to screen sounds from outside. User may still enjoy the SRS effect through earphones.

Accessory

The configuration included with the FP231W monitor is a CD-ROM manual, Quick Start Guide, power cable, D-Sub/DVI signal cable, USB cable, and audio cable for the standard stereo speaker module. A Quick Start Guide can provide basic clues and guide user to install the FP231W quickly. Other detail information as well as .inf and .icm files and a test program are all recorded in CD-ROM manual. The CD-ROM manual is in PDF format with an auto start HTML format file. With a PDF format user can view both text and pictures in our manual very easily.
