The first model in EIZO's PrimEdge Series, the FlexScan L550 offers a scaled-down design with some unique features. The simplified OSD presents a user-friendly interface, and a new light sensor takes a reading of the ambient light conditions and automatically adjusts the panel's brightness.

-Light Sensor.
The FlexScan L550 is the first monitor with this new EIZO feature. It automatically reads the amount of ambient light in the user environment and adjusts the screen brightness to compensate .
-Stylish Cabinet Design.
The slimmed down cabinet design features an unconventional easel back stand for adjusting the ideal position and angle of view. The cabinet attaches to a mounting arm as is, eliminating the trouble of separating the panel from the stand required with conventional LCD monitors.
-sRGB Mode.
Available in the OSD menu, this mode allows color matching with other peripherals that support the sRGB color space.
-Regulatory Standards.
Complies with current international standards concerning safety, ergonomics, and power management as well as "EIZO Eco Products 2004," an in-house label covering such environmental issues as manufacture with lead-free solder and chrome-free steel.
